The sewage trunk pipe along Chengbei Road serves as the main inlet pipe for Jiangdong Water Treatment Plant. The project was completed around 2010.

According to CCTV inspection, the entire pipeline is basically suffering from damages such as fractures, leaks, and corrosion.

These issues pose significant safety hazards, necessitating urgent renovation and upgrading of the sewage pipe.

The scope of this construction project includes the repair of 1,350 meters of DN1500 sewage pipe and the restoration of 8 manhole covers and shafts of inspection wells.

This project utilizes UV-cured pipe rehabilitation technology for comprehensive pipeline repair. The construction features large pipe diameters and deep manholes, presenting significant challenges for UV curing.

Construction Method

① Pipe plugging: Temporary sealing using a combination of brick walls and air plugs to ensure construction safety.

② With a pipe diameter of 1500mm (the largest UV-repaired pipe diameter in China at that time), the heavy UV repair materials were lowered using a crane combined with a winch. A base membrane was laid on the ground to prevent damage to the UV materials.

③ Due to the large pipe diameter, the curing process requires continuous close observation to ensure the curing effect meets design requirements.
